The Brazilian forward was on target against Villarreal on Saturday and marked the occasion in familiar style - for a different star
Antoine Griezmann and Neymar are two of the finest forwards in world football, and the Atletico Madrid and Barcelona stars have now taken to mimicking one another’s goal celebrations.
Between them, the France and Brazil internationals have netted 41 times between them this season.
The most recent of those efforts arrived on Saturday, with Neymar finding the target in Barca’s 4-1 victory over Villarreal.
His reaction to opening the scoring in that encounter was to break out the ‘Hotline Bling’ celebration made famous by Atleti talisman Griezmann – not that his La Liga rival seemed to mind.
Griezmann has not had too much opportunity to celebrate himself over recent weeks, having gone four games without a goal.
He does, however, have 25 for the season, compared to Neymar’s haul of 16.
Atletico could do with their star striker rediscovering his touch in their next outing, as they will seek to overturn a 3-0 deficit against arch-rivals Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.
